In a design go a designer’s mood, ideas, hard work, and throwing away 100’s of blueprints. Everything is reflected in the design. It isn’t an easy job.

But a piece of furniture may evoke different emotions in the viewer - consumer; different then as perceived by the designer.

Hats off to designers’ creativity and meaning no offence:-

I declare these ten furniture - most cockiest, very interesting, funny, whimsical or plain mischievous in a subtle way.

The doormat ‘Reminder’ says:

 KEYS, WALLET, MOBILE PHONE.

The second one says: IRON, STOVE, WINDOW.

Put inside the door and don’t forget to look down. Or better put on the door itself!

(Don’t you worry- you are not alone -happens with all of us many a times!)

These handmade products are from Kunye - brilliant brainchild of Alison Coutras (and her local team of craftisans - a cooperative to combat unemployment) in South Africa.

Kunye is the Xhosa word for ‘forward together’.

Kunye has won a number of awards.
